1. Install the alpha
- Download Iradex-alpha.apk on an Android 8.0 or newer phone.
- Open the download. Android may ask you to allow installation from your browser or Files app.
- Approve the installation, then open Iradex. Google Play Protect may identify it as an app from outside Play because this is a private alpha.
2. Complete alarm setup
Follow Iradex's guided setup for Notifications, Exact alarm and Full-screen alert. Exact alarm and Full-screen alert open Android Settings because the operating system does not present them as normal pop-ups.
On Samsung, make sure all three readiness items show Ready in Iradex Settings before testing.
3. Run the core test
- Create one small commitment for 3–5 minutes ahead.
- Choose photo proof or a quick progress note.
- Lock the phone and wait without opening Iradex.
- When it rings, make one honest step and submit proof.
- Check Progress to confirm the completion was recorded.
4. Expected behavior
| Situation | Expected result |
|---|---|
| Phone locked | Sound, vibration and full-screen alarm. |
| Using another app | Alarm and notification; tap it to open Iradex. |
| Iradex removed from Recents | Scheduled alarm still rings. |
| Phone restarted | Alarm is restored without reopening Iradex. |
| Emergency stop | Sound and vibration end without creating proof. |
5. Give useful feedback
Tell us your phone model and Android version, what you expected, what happened, and whether the issue blocked the commitment. Avoid posting private proof or sensitive information.
6. Known alpha limitations
- Photo capture is recorded, but the image itself is not yet displayed in progress history.
- Using Android's Force stop disables alarms until Iradex is opened again.
- Alarm behavior can vary across manufacturers and battery-management settings.
- There are no accounts, cloud sync, data backup or Play Store automatic updates.
- Iradex verifies a fresh action—not whether the work is correct or complete.
Iradex is not medical treatment or an emergency alarm. Use Emergency stop whenever continuing would be unsafe or unreasonable.
