1. Plain-English summary
Iradex has no account system, advertising, cloud database or analytics tracker. Alpha data remains in private storage on your Android device unless you personally choose to share it.
2. Data stored on your device
Iradex may store:
- Your active commitment, category, selected alarm time and proof method.
- Onboarding preferences used to personalize the first commitment category.
- Completion history, streak and follow-through information.
- Fresh proof photos in the app's private cache and progress notes in local app data.
- A minimal device-protected copy of the active alarm so Android can restore it after a restart.
The current alpha records that a photo was captured but does not display that image inside progress history. Android may clear cached proof photos automatically.
3. Android permissions
- Notifications: shows the commitment alarm.
- Exact alarms: rings at the time you choose.
- Full-screen alerts: wakes the lock screen for a scheduled alarm.
- Camera: captures fresh photo proof; gallery uploads are not used.
- Vibration and wake lock: makes an active alarm noticeable.
- Boot completed: restores an active alarm after the phone restarts.
Android controls these permissions. You can revoke them through system Settings, although doing so may stop alarm features from working reliably.
5. Your control
You can cancel an active commitment, clear Iradex app data in Android Settings, revoke permissions, or uninstall the app. Clearing app data or uninstalling removes locally stored commitments and history. There is no cloud backup in this alpha.
6. Safety and sensitive use
Iradex is a productivity prototype. It is not a medical device, ADHD treatment, emergency alarm, parental-control tool or substitute for professional care. Every ringing alarm includes an Emergency stop because physical and emotional safety takes priority over completion.
7. Policy changes and contact
This policy may change as accounts, cloud features or analytics are considered. Material changes will be documented with the relevant release. For alpha questions, open a private-safe report through the Iradex feedback form →. Never include private proof photos or sensitive information in a public issue.
